Focus on intralogistics: The program of the TEST CAMP INTRALOGISTICS and the German Material Flow Congress

Over two days, TEST CAMP INTRALOGISTICS will offer trade visitors a comprehensive, publicly accessible program. The focus will be on highlight tours to exhibitors and IFOY finalists, as well as discussion formats featuring start-ups, industry representatives, and automation experts.

Open Program with Tours, Panels, and Networking

On Wednesday, April 15, the “Highlight Tour A” (10:00–11:00 a.m. and 12:00–1:00 p.m.) will guide visitors to the IFOY Award finalists (excluding start-ups). “Highlight Tour B” (11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. and 3:00–4:00 p.m.) will combine TEST CAMP exhibitors with IFOY start-ups.

At 3:00 p.m., an English-language matchmaking session will take place in the Event Dome, bringing together IFOY finalists, start-ups, and scale-ups with venture capital representatives. Participation is by invitation from TEST CAMP management only.

Starting at 4:00 p.m., start-up representatives will discuss challenges and lessons learned during the German-language IFOY Panel in the Event Cube. Immediately afterward, the English-language IFOY Panel Automation, titled “Automation by Default,” will explore strategies for end-to-end automation. The day will conclude with a Networking Night from 5:15 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., featuring dinner, drinks, and a DJ.

On Thursday, April 16, additional highlight tours are scheduled (10:00–11:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m., 12:00–1:00 p.m., and 2:00–3:00 p.m.). As part of “TEST CAMP on Tour,” participants will also gain exclusive behind-the-scenes insights at Arvato in Dortmund. Shuttle bus capacity is limited.

German Material Flow Congress: “Beyond Automation” as the Guiding Theme

Alongside the open program, the German Material Flow Congress will offer a dedicated specialist agenda for registered congress participants. Access is granted exclusively with a combo ticket (MFK + TEST CAMP), exhibitor pass, or jury ticket.

Under the guiding theme “Next Stop: Beyond Automation,” the congress will address technologies that go beyond traditional automation. The focus will be on artificial intelligence, humanoid and autonomous robotics, and networked systems capable not only of executing processes but also of intelligently controlling, learning, and acting autonomously.

The MFK will open on April 15 at 9:00 a.m. with Prof. Dr.-Ing. Johannes Fottner and representatives from politics and industry. Keynotes and expert presentations will address topics including humanoid robotics in logistics, autonomous mobile robots, and their industrial applications. Industry representatives from manufacturing, logistics services, and robotics development will present practical examples and discuss economic perspectives.

A key topic on the first day will be the “limits of automation,” particularly in complex environments such as airports. EU safety standards, digital test fields in the air cargo sector, and structured change management for autonomous ground processes will shape the discussion.

On the second day of the congress, the focus will shift to future-proof locations, brownfield modernization, AI applications on the shop floor, and best-practice projects from various industries. Contributions from diagnostics distribution, heating technology, online retail, and agricultural machinery will showcase concrete transformation approaches in practice.

The event will conclude with an interdisciplinary presentation titled “Shaken, Not Stirred! – James Bond in the Crosshairs of Physics,” before officially ending at around 3:45 p.m. on April 16.

By combining an open innovation platform with an in-depth specialist congress, TEST CAMP INTRALOGISTICS once again positions itself as a central meeting point for the intralogistics industry—making Dortmund in April 2026 a showcase for the latest innovations from across the global world of intralogistics.
